4 Proven Strategies to creating a life where you actually love your job:
Do you feel like your emotional state tends to run your life? Tired of letting anxiety, depression, or difficult emotions tell you how to think, act, and feel when all you want is some richness and success?
The 4 Keys to Positive and Lasting Success in your Job:
1: Get rid of yo' sh*t
If you're anything like me, you've got a lot of past emotions, trauma, baggage, whatever you want to call it and - whether you recognize it or not, it's affecting how you live your life. Step one is to get rid of it's influence. This can be done in a ton of different ways; here's a couple:
-- Mindfulness practices like meditation, journaling, reading, and walks
-- Talking through problems and finding perspective and solutions (not just venting)
-- Breakthrough Session with me - intense emotional work with clinical studies proven to make lasting change
-- Creating healthy boundaries around time, money, emotions, family, etc.
2: Create positive and empowering goal(s)
To truly get something you want, I believe you need to know where you're going. The more specific and truthful you can get with a goal or a future, the easier it is to get what you want. I love utilizing the SMART goal format
--Write a goal that is specific, measurable, works for all areas of your life, is realistic, and has a time limit. Use positive language here too. (Not what you don't want).
--Write it in paragraph form with sentences, not bullet points, and be as specific as possible.
*I also love using an Avatar, and an Aim - if you want to learn more about those, feel free to schedule a free conversation with me.
3: Create an action plan
Once you have a goal to know where you're going, it's time to get specific on the "how." Here you create objective markers to know how well you're doing in your goal, where to make changes, and identify places to ask for assistance (and celebrate!)
--Start by identifying the 4 big steps that you need to do to accomplish the goal
--On the first of those 4 steps, start outlining how you'd accomplish that step. Then do the same with the remaining 3.
--With these steps, stay open to shifting a couple of thing, but not those big 4. This allows you to be flexible in how you complete your goal.
4: Staying Focused
The hardest part about actually having richness and empowerment (or whatever other goal you have) is staying on track when things get really hard. Who helps you stay focused on the life you really want?
--I like to call this the SMEP. You should be able to accomplish your goals within your 4 bodies - spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical.
--The goal should be good for all 4 of these bodies and you should be making at least a small amount of progress in each.
--Keep track of your progress in a journal, online tracker, or with another person (I love accountabili-buddies).
--Make changes when necessary, and know that it's not failure! It's just feedback on how you learn, accomplish, and adjust.

I am a survivor, a student, a teacher, a best friend, and a kahu (keeper, caretaker). I live an empowered life and have the incredible opportunity to help others grow through their emotions and life experiences by creating the space that allows them to feel safe, supported, and successful.
My brother died when I was young, I began seeing death and destruction as a police officer and firefighter right out of college. I was shaken, confused, and super anxious. After holding my family together during deaths and working through a traumatic brain injury, I learned the ways that best worked for me to no just be a survivor, but to love my life. Now I get to thrive and give back to others from that incredible mindset.
I beat my diagnoses of anxiety, depression, PTSD, and it’s been 5 years since I’ve had a panic attack. In past years, I was ignoring my feelings and my needs -- with the progress and healing I’ve made, I now share my story and the techniques that worked for me.
I love hanging with my dog in Montana, traveling, teaching, and exercising everyday in the mountains. I have a bunch of different certifications, and each one helps me work with different people.
Let me know your best dad joke!
